The CEI 64-8 standard is continuously evolving to incorporate numerous European harmonization documents. After Variant V5, further changes are on the way, altering established rules and affecting the initial and periodic checks of electrical systems. Photovoltaic systems, since their widespread adoption, have posed multiple technical and administrative challenges. The presence of GSE (Energy Services Operator) allows for clarification of the most current and controversial issues and illustrates the evolution of incentives for such systems. The relationship between Distributors and users, whether active or passive, in low or medium voltage, often needs to address the changing needs arising from the system reality.
